REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Heavymetal band, Metallica finally performed in Jakarta on Sunday night and sang 18 songs including Master of Puppets, Nothing else Matter, and Enter Sandman. James Hetzfield, Kirk Hammett, Robert Trujillo and Lars Ulrich opended the stage by singing Hit the Lights.

"You guys are Metallica family, you are our fifth member. More than 30 years and you are still standing like this. Thank you once again Jakarta. I love you too," Hetzfield said.

The remark was welcomed with cheers and hysteria. More than 50 thousand spectators enjoyed the grup's performance tittled Metallica Extremely Loud Concert. Among them was Governor of Jakarta, Joko Widodo also known as Jokowi, who also a big fan of heavymetal music.

It was the second time for the heavymetal group to entertain its audience in Indonesia. Hetzfield said he still remembered and regretted to the incident happened during the first performance at Lebak Bulus Stadium in 1993. The concert led to riots and lasted for two days.
