Danareksa targets 10 thousand local investors

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - One of state's largest security companies, PT Danareksa Sekuritas targetted 10 thousand local investors in 2014. Director of Danareksa Sekuritas, Sujadi Darmotinojo said foreign investors were still dominate Indonesian capital market.

"Our problem now is about knowledge. Many middle class people still have no idea about Indonesian capital market," Dormotinojo said on Monday.

Many middle class people choose banking products, such as deposits or conventional banking products as their means of investment. In fact, investment in stock market are very attractive.

Education and socialization of capital market are necessary to increase number of local investors. About 57 percent of capital outflows come from foreign investors.
