REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Commission XI of the House of Representatives approved budget proposed by Financial Service Authority (OJK) for 2014 worth 2.4 trillion IDR. The budget increases from 2013 budget worth 1.6 trillion IDR. The budget is not including remuneration costs worth 810 billion IDR for Bank Indonesia's employees transfered to work for OJK.
"Addition of budget in 2014 particularly to cover cost of equity for employees according to OJK's standard and recruitment of new employees, operational functions of regulation and supervision of banking in OJK headquarters and branch offices in Indonesia," Chairman of Board of Commissioners in OJK, Muliaman D Hadad recently.
Vice Chairman of Commission XI, Harry Azhar Azis said that Commission also agreed to propose construction of OJK building in regional areas used unused budget in 2013 worth 300 billion IDR.
Hadad added that OJK had to have its own office building. Hence, OJK needs additional 5.2 trillion IDR in which 1.3 trillion IDR of the budget to build the headquarters, while 1 trillion IDR to build five regional offices and the remaining money will go to build 29 branch offices throughout Indonesia.
