REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- HSBC Indonesia considered investment growth in Indonesia in 2014 was still positive after government policy of handling inflation. Indonesia's trade balance was also considered in good condition.

"Bank Indonesia has made various efforts. Government is also quite consistent with the policies that have been issued in addressing structural problems on improving Indonesia's trade balance," said HSBC Indonesia Managing Director of Global Markets, Ali Setiawan in the Seminar of HSBC Global Economic Outlook 2014 in Jakarta Wednesday (4/12).

He argued that foreign investors were still keen to put their investment in Indonesia, especially from Japan. In fact, Japanese put Indonesia as a most favorite place to invest.

"Indonesia has done a good job in the international eye. Indonesia is one of the most attractive investment destinations to Japanese investors. Yet not only Japanese investors, from Europe and the US also saw it positively. Moreover, the size of the investment market in Indonesia is still very large," he added.
