REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Vice President Boediono explained that national politic would influence economy in 2014. He hopes that general election this year can run smoothly and safely like previous elections in 2004 and 2009.
"There are some risks. We need to see and anticipate it this year," Boediono said on Thursday.
2014 General election will express the maturity of Indonesian democracy. All Indonesian citizens dream a better democracy as it is expected.
Boediono saw that national democracy should be completely repaired. He hopes when the top leader changed, the new government could take advantage of huge political capital. This momentum is usually occurred in second half of 2014, when the new government runs its role.
"I am sure that Indonesia will have significant political capital in second half of 2014. So everybody, let's give large space to government to do something," he added.
This year, according to Boediono, national economy will focus on four sectors, namely global liquidity, oil price, foodstuff and national politics.
