President appoints Wirjoatmodjo as LPS Chairman

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has appointed Kartika Wirjoatmodjo as member of the board of commissioners concurrently head of the Deposit Insurance Agency (LPS) succeeding Mirza Addityaswarsa who has been promoted as a Bank Indonesia deputy governor.

LPS Secretary Samsu Adi Nugroho said in a press statement here on Tuesday that Kartika Wirjoatmodjo was appointed LPS chief based on Presidential Decree No. 150/M 2013.

With the appointment of Kartika Wiroatmodjo, the structure of the LPS board of commissioners consists of C Heru Budiargo as member concurrently chief commissioner, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo as member concurrently chief executive, Siswanto (member), Rizal Bambang Prasetijo (member), Ahmad Fuad Rahmany (member, Ex-Officio of the ministry of finance) and Ronald Waas (member, Ex-Officio of Bank Indonesia).
