REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- PT Pertamina's subsidiary, PT Pertamina Retail plans to cooperate with several banks to develop e-money. The card can be used to buy fuel in stations and also for shopping.

President Director of Pertamina Retail, Toharso said that the electronic money was similar with e-toll, which served to pay toll tariff.

"The function is similar with e-toll, but it can be spent anywhere, especially at Bright Food Group Co retailers," Toharso said on Monday.

Pertamina Retail is subsidiary of state owned oil and gas company, which manages fuel and gas stations owned and operated by itself. The company targeted 1,000 fuel stations until 2020.
