REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - State-owned telecommunications operator PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) posted a revenue growth of 7,5 percent or 83 trillion IDR in 2013. The growth was driven 10.1 percent by its subsidiary's revenue, Telkomsel.
Based on its financial report to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) on Friday, Telkom's net income reached 14.2 trillion IDR or rose 10.5 percent. Mobile voice and data services are the largest contributors of Telkom's operating revenue. Voice business contributed 38.7 percent of total revenues.
Data, internet and IT services accounted for 38.2 percent or increased 14.8 percent, while the rest from fixed network voice revenue (11.7 percent) and others (11.4 percent). Voice cellular revenue increased 4.6 percent compared to 2012. Operating expenses and maintenance also became major contributors worth 35.1 percent of total operating expenses.
