Matahari Putra Prima pays dividend worth 1 trillion IDR

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesia's largest department store, PT Matahari Putra Prima will distribute dividend to its shareholders worth 1 trillion IDR or 186 IDR per sheet. Corporate Secretary of Matahari Putra Prima, Dani Kongjongian added that company also saved a reserve fund worth 2 billion IDR, while 1.221 trillion IDR would be recorded as company's accumulated profit.

"The dividends equals to 45 percent of company's earned profit of 2.2 trillion IDR," Kongjongian said on Thursday.

Matahari Putra Prima will expand its subsidiary, Hypermart and extend the term of office for all directors and commissioners until next three years. The company posted net profit worth 444.90 billion IDR in 2013. It grew 101.72 percent compared to 2012. Company's revenue also grew from 10.87 trillion IDR to 11.91 trillion IDR. 

Matahari plans to add 16 Hypermart stores. The company currently has 84 stores across Indonesia.
