REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SEMARANG - Keroncong music is proposed to nominated as world cultural heritage. 

"Keroncong is part of Indonesian culture, so we propose it as the world cultural heritage to the UNESCO," Sunindyo, a military official who has concerns on Keroncong, said on Saturday.

Several practitioners and academics met in a discussion 'Rembug Keroncong' to discuss the development of the music, including a proposal to make it as one of the world cultural heritages.
