Six airline companies request additional flights to Bali

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KUTA -- Six national and international airline companies proposed additional flights from and to Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali during school holidays and Lebaran Day. According to Co-General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I in Ngurah Rai Airport, I Gusti Ngurah Ardita, the six airline companies are Citilink, Lion Air, Air Asia Indonesia, Nam Air, Sriwijaya Air and Cathay Pacific.

"The additional flight will be applied from July 12 to August 5, 2014," Ardita said in Kuta on Thursday.

Cathay Pacific proposed eight additional flights with a total of 2,388 seats for Hong Kong - Denpasar - Hong Kong. Lion Air submitted 68 additional flights with a total of 14,629 seats for Cengkareng - Denpasar - Cengkareng. Citilink proposed 10 additional flights with a total of 1,800 seats for Cengkareng - Denpasar - Cengkareng.

Nam Air will and Sriwijaya Air will add 24 flights for Surabaya-Denpasar-Surabaya and Cengkareng-Denpasar-Cengkareng with a total of 8,448 seats. Air Asia Indonesia will add 108 flights with a total of 19,440 seats, the highest numbers compared to other airlines.
