REPUBLIKA.CO.ID,JAKARTA - Minster Youth and Sports Affairs Roy Suryo said the Indonesian contingent should be among the top ten at the Asian Games 2014 to be held in Incheon, South Korea, from September 19 through October 4.
"Whatever happens at the national training center, the Indonesian contingent should be able to reach the top ten and bag nine gold medals," Roy stressed when monitoring the athletes' activities at the national training center of the Asian Games 2014 at the Senayan sports complex here on Wednesday.
Roy pointed out that he was confident enough to set the target at nine gold medals after observing the optimal preparation carried out by athletes in 21 different games.
The national training center for 22 games is being participated by 157 athletes, consisting of 151 key athletes and six young athletes, excluding 20 football athletes, who will automatically enter into the country's contingent, as they have been training at their own expense.
