REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The Italian Embassy, in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency and Pacific Place, will hold a cultural festival and exhibition from October 8 through November 2, 2014.
"This event will celebrate the 65th anniversary of bilateral relations between Italy and Indonesia," said the Ambassador of Italy to Indonesia, Federico Failla, on Wednesday.
"Buongiorno Italia", the title of the event, is being held to attract Indonesian interest to Italian products in fashion, coffee, foods, automotive and furniture. One of the exhibitions, "60 Years of Made in Italy", will be showcasing 30 dresses from famous Italian designers and fashion brands, such as Giorgio Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce&Gabbana, Prada, Versace, Sorelle Fontana and Luciano Soprani. There will also be an exhibit about the history and evolution of espresso coffee machines, considered authentic Italian coffee.
"Coffee represents the lifestyle of Italians and we are one of the prominent countries that export espresso around the world," said the Trade Commissioner of the Italian Trade Agency, Samuele Porsia, in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The General Manager of Marketing of Pacific Place said he expects the event will increase mall visitors by some 20 percent.
