Minister: Indonesia ready to prevent Ebola spreading

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Government stated that Indonesia was ready to prevent deadly virus Ebola. Port Health Agency at Ministry of Health held emergency preparedness exercise in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

"We have prepared, not only for Ebola, but also for all disease," Minister of Health Nila Moeloek said on Wednesday, November 12.

The exercise simulated two passengers, travelling from affected country Liberia, had symptoms of Ebola. With intense communication between crew, health agency and airport, the pilot landed the plane in isolated and quarantined area inside the airport. Medical workers in protective suits then rushes the suspects to referred hospital.

"Our international airports are ready," she said. However, she urged people to take care of themselves by considering not to travel to affected countries.
