REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia Yasuaki Tanizaki met with Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla. The meeting talked on an effort to boost Japanese investment in Indonesia.
"We are cooperating to boost investment in Indonesia. I think we can invest more," Tanizaki said on Thursday, November 20.
He said that Indonesia was a main investment destination for Japan. Moreover, President Joko Widodo has said that Indonesia is open to foreign investors.
"We are talking about cooperation on infrastructure, such as power plant, toll road, ports, and waterways. We discuss on the financial matters and find a solution for the problems," Tanizaki said.
He admitted that he had talked with Japanese companies in Indonesia. Japan and Indonesia will hold a summit to talk on maritime development, focusing on maritime toll road.
