REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The most severe impact from the economic weakened is number of unemployment and poverty will increase. Actually, the government is targeting economic growth up to five percent, so that the unemployment and poverty will decrease.

A researcher of the Institute for Development of Economist and Finance (Indef), Eko Listianto, said that by seeing the current economic growth, the government must be ready for the increasing number of poverty. It is because the contribution of manufacturing industry in maintaining formal workers has decreased.

“If the industry is slowing down, then the micro industries will be the first who has the impact,” he said.

Indonesia is in the low economic growth era for a developing country. Although the government is always optimistic that the growth will reach five percent.
