REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Bank Indonesia projected Indonesia's economic growth in the third quarter of 2015 to 4.85 percent. Governor of Bank Indonesia, Agus Martowardojo, said that the economic growth was great in 4.85 percent, compared to first and second quarter of 2015, that were 4.7 percent and 4.67 percent.
"So that Indonesia economy who will slowdown as Brazil, Russia, South Africa and Turkey is untrue. We must fight for the fourth quarter to be better," he said, in Jakarta, Friday (16/10).
On the whole year, economic growth was expected in the range of 4.7 percent to 5.1 percent, or more specifically in the range of 4.8 percent-4.9 percent.
Agus also said that there were some indicators of economic improvement. In terms of inflation achievement, he has been targeted four plus minus one percent.
"Currently, the rate of four percent was considered to be more reachable," he added.
