REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- After deflation of 0.05 percent in September, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported a deflation of 0.08 percent in October 2015.
With the deflation, then inflation rate throughout the year (January to October 2015) reached 2.16 percent. While, the inflation rate from October 2014 to October 2015 was recorded at 6.25 percent.
"Of the 82 cities surveyed, 44 cities experienced deflation," said Head oBPS, Suryamin, in his presentation on Monday (2/11).
Bank Indonesia previously had predicted that there would be deflation in October 2015. However, the prediction of BI was higher at 0.09 percent.
