REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Princess Masna of Brunei Darussalam lauded the Indonesian creative products presented by the Indonesian Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan.
Princess Masna expressed her appreciation during a visit to the Indonesian Embassy's booth at the "Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT) Family Day in Commemorating ASEAN Community" in Brunei on Sunday (March 20), according to a press release here on Tuesday.
"It is very creative and unique," Princess Masna stated while viewing and listening to a description of a wallet made from pandan leaves.
Ambassador-at-Large at MOFAT Princess Masna sought further information on the products being displayed at the Indonesian Embassy's stand, including the sales prospects of the wallets.
Furthermore, the consulate furnished detailed explanations on the products of Indonesia, including wallets made from panda leaves, which drew the interest of consumers and entrepreneurs in Brunei.
The princess hoped that Indonesian creative products would gain popularity among the consumers in Brunei. She also encouraged Indonesian producers to market their products in Brunei.
During the event, the Indonesian Embassy displayed an array of creative products such as batik, veils, purses, and accessories.
In addition to creative products, the consulate served a variety of Indonesian culinary specialties, such as sate, meatballs, rempeyek kacang (peanut wafers), cakes, lapis pegit (layered cake), and crackers.
The office hoped the event would be implemented on a regular basis as part of the efforts to boost bilateral relations between Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam as well as the ASEAN.
