REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA  --  The Indonesian Embassy of Namibia is promoting Indonesian cuisines, such as martabak (stuffed pancake or pan-fried bread) and lumpia (spring rolls), to introduce Indonesian culture particularly to college students.

The Indonesian Women Unity of the embassy participated in the International Cuisine Day held in Namibia University Science and Technology (NUST), according to the press release received on Saturday.

Cultural promotion through culinary delights is an effective effort to introduce Indonesia as a country that has various cuisines, Indonesian Ambassador Eddy Basuki said.

The active participation of the embassy and the women unity in promoting cuisines can be a stimulant to promote the tourism sector and culture of Indonesia in Namibia, Basuki added.
