REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG - West Java governor Ahmad Heryawan said he would refer the case of shooting at a church in Indramayu by H (initial) and R (initial) to local law enforcement authorities. "The incident is a legal problem and a crime, so we refer it fully to the law enforcement agencies," he said, after presiding over a mass organization forum here on Saturday.

The governor also appealed to all people in West Java, especially in Indramayu, not to be provoked by the incident. "Let us maintain the situation in West Java so that people continue to live peacefully. In case of a problem, let us settle it immediately," he said then added that he believed people in the region have the ability to settle such problems.

An Indonesia Christian Church (GKI) building on Jalan Cimanuk, Indramayu, West Java, was sprayed with bullets by unknown gunmen last Friday afternoon. West Java police command spokesman Senior Commissioner Martinus Sitompul said no one was killed in the incident.
