REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Antipolitical party sentiment is stronger as the public blame political parties as they fails to represent people’s aspiration. "Another reason is corruption cases that involve some party’s figures,” the Chairman of PKB Central Board, Marwan Ja'far said on Sunday.

People can express their stance on political party, but they also should understand the case comprehensively. Several figures might be indeed involved in corruption, he said, but it did not generally justify that the party was bad. “No political party allows corruption,” he said.

The existence of Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) is also inseparable from political parties’ initiatives in the House of Representatives during the reformation era. "At that time, political party urged to form KPK and stood in the first row to eradicate corruption," he said. "Modern country should have political party role as the catalyst of democracy," he added.
