REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Thousands workers incorporated in labors confederation urge President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to take firm stance on Malaysia over the death of Indonesian workers. “Indonesian workers are the biggest contributor of foreign exchange. We, who also workers, should defend on them,” the President of Indonesian Labor Unions Confederation (KSPI), Said Iqbal, said on Tuesday on the demonstration to celebrate Mayday in Bundaran Hotel Indonesia, Jakarta.

The step must be taken, he said, was to draw all Indonesian workers in Malaysia until they got protection from the country. Other workers united in Indonesia Labors Assembly also sent their condolence to the killing of Indonesian workers in Malaysia.

“We condemn the inhuman act of Diraja Malaysia Police Department. If it is needed, we will do solidarity act by sitting before the Malaysian Embassy,” Iqbal said.
