REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian government was ready to provide shelter and protection for Rohingyas, the Minister for Foreign Affairs Marty Natalegawa said. Indonesia concerns over a country which refuses the existence of an ethnic in its region. 

Marty also deplored other neighboring countries' act which obviously refuses to protect Muslim Rohingyas. "Any ethnic group who seeks refugee in Indonesia will be treated well," Marty said on Monday.

Currently at least 300 Muslim Rohingya are in Indonesia, with 270 of them are asylum seekers. Indonesia, he said, had pay attention in Rohingya issue since long time ago.

In 2010, Indonesia proposed the forum of United Nations Human Rights Council and UN Security Council to find solution for Myanmar problems. Indonesia still trusted the neighboring countries to solve Rohingya citizenship issue.

Burmese government on Monday officially invited all ambassadors, including Indonesian Ambassador to Myanmar in Naypyidaw, to deliver the mapping of conflict based on government version. Myanmar was also ready to form investigation team for the conflict involving Muslim Rohingya and Rakhine Buddhists in Arakan.
