REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Flash floods triggered by heavy rain in Parigi Moutong, Central Sulawesi on Saturday night have killed two people, injured 38 people and one is still missing. The Head of Information and Data Center and the Public Relations of National Disaster Management, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, said the floods hit six regions in South Parigi. The regions are Boyangtongo, Lemusa, Dolago, Gangga, Nambaru, and Tindaki.
The physical damages cover 15 houses are washed away, 51 houses and 2 churches are heavily damaged, 100 housed are drown in mud, while Boyantogo and Dalago Bridges are destroyed.
National Disaster Management, Indonesian National Army, and other related institutions have provided emergency help since last night. They focus on cleaning the houses and seeking for the missing victim.
