REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SOLO - Minister of State-owned Enterprises Dahlan Iskan hit the slopes on Saturday in Magetan, East Java, while test-driving his electric car, Tucuxi. The car is severely damage. However, Iskan is reportedly safe without any injury. 

"Minister Dahlan Iskan does not suffer any injury," the spokesman of the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises, Faisal Halimi, said on Saturday. Before getting out from his new car, he even ensured whether no one was injured.

Dahlan Iskan was test-driving his battery-powered car from Solo to Surabaya. He held traditional ceremony for his car, which he believed that it would prevent bad luck. Minister earlier said that the name of the car was derived from a kind of animal (dolphin -Ed).

Despite the crash, Iskan said that he was still proud of his car which was made by Indonesian people and designed by Danet Suryatama. "It is good that it was me who test-drive the car. It was the risk that I took," Iskan said through his spokesman.

The production of the car costs 1.5 billion USD. The load factor of the car can hold up to four hours or 400 kilometers. The ability of Tucuxi is equal to 3,500 cc fuel engine car.
