During the steamy 12 hours meeting yesterday, KPU presented reports from its 33 provincial offices that only 10 out of 34 parties had passed the final stage of verification process. The remaining parties are considered fail to meet requirements in one or several provinces.
The ten parties contesting in 2014 elections are the National Mandate Party (PAN), the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), the Democratic Party, the United Development Party (PPP), the Golkar Party, the National Awakening Party (PKB), the People's Conscience Party (Hanura), the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra), and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS).
