Police have not named Minister Iskan as suspect

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian National Police have not named Minister of State-owned Enterprises, Dahlan Iskan, as a suspect of car accident involving Minister's new electric car, Tucuxi, in Magetan, East Java, on Saturday.

"Investigation is still underway," the Chief of Indonesian National Police, Timur Pradopo, said on Wednesday.

He explained that the matter was related to a test drive, governed by Laws and must be coordinated with Ministry of Transportation. He added that every vehicle must be tested before it was produced massively.

Meanwhile, the East Java Police`s traffic directorate head, Adjunct Police Commissioner Ade Safri Simanjuntak, said on Monday that the cause of the accident was the driver, who was Minister Iskan. "He could be the suspect of the case. We will probe him this week," Simanjuntak said.
