REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Operator of Soekarno Hatta Airport, Angkasa Pura II, sets contingency plan of floods anticipation in greater Jakarta. The plan will focus on helping customers who trapped by floods on Sedyatmo toll road.
"Since Thursday the flight service from Soekarno-Hatta Airport runs normally, but we will still prepare the contingency plan until the situation is getting better," Secretary of Angkasa Pura II, Trisno Heryadi, said on Friday in the press release.
The main access to the airport is inundated with water, hampering customers to reach the aiport. They are facing a hard time to meet the flight schedule on time.
Angkasa Pura II cooperates with Armed Forces, Police, National Search and Rescue and several airlines to provide a transportation to go through the floods. Angkasa Pura II also asks the airline companies to reschedule flights for customers affected by flood, without additional fees.
"This is force majeure and nobody deliberately wants to be late to catch a flight," he said.
