At least 22 roads in Jakarta remain under water

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Jakarta Police Department records that at least 22 roads in Jakarta are still inundated with flood. Heavy rain fell across Jakarta, flooded many areas and killed 15 people.

"Until Saturday, about 22 roads are still inundated. Vehicles cannot cross those roads," Deputy Chief of Traffic Management of Jakarta Police Department, Wahyono, said on Saturday.

The roads spread in three different locations across Jakarta: eight locations in North Jakarta, eight location in West Jakarta, a location in South Jakarta, three in Central Jakarta and other two in East Jakarta.

In Central Jakarta, flood still inundates Latuharhari, about 50 centimeters in Angkasa Street and 15 centimeters in Industri Street. Flood in North Jakarta covers about a meter in Pluit Putri, a meter in South Pluit, a meter near Atmajaya University, 10-20 centimeters near Mangga Dua, 40 centimeters in WTC tunnel, 40 centimeters in District Court, and 10 centimeters along Kramatjaya.

Meanwhile, flood affected West Jakarta includes Daan Mogot, Tubagus Angke, Puri Kembangan, Hayam Wuruk Street, Latumenten Street, Green Garden, Olimo Asemka, and near Indosiar office. In East Jakarta, flood inundates Bidara Cina and Jatinegara Barat, while in South Jakarta, it is only in Abdullah Syafei Street.
