REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as a chief patron of Democratic Party and party senate will pick party's legislative candidates by himself.

"SBY and party senate will determine those who will run for legislative election and sit in the House of Representatives," Deputy Secretary General of Democratic Party, Ramadhan Pohan, said on Tuesday.

Pohan said SBY required the candidates to devoted their job for the people, meet them, and listen to their inputs.  Democratic Party claims that they will not abuse any citizen's rights. The party will open to everyone including celebrities, as long as the have good reputation.
