REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - House of Representatives ratified new bill aimed to cut terror financing in a plenary session House ratifies on Tuesday.
"All factions and parliaments members agree to pass the bill into law," Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, Priyo Budi Santoso, who chaired the plenary session, said.
He explained that the law served both national and international interests. The Chairman of the Special Committee, Adang Daradjatun, said the discussion on the bill focused on important issues such as international cooperation and mechanism to monitor the fund flow.
"The legislation should not be misused by authorities," he said then added that after the bill was approved, House would ensure that the implementation did not violate human rights.
