SBY warns of conspiracies

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono warned his cabinet members and other institutions of conspiracies. He said, recent cases showed that conspiracies took place againts some governmental programs.

"I warn every staff member to prevent the ministries and institutions from infiltration and penetration that could create other problems," SBY said during cabinet meeting at presidential office on Thursday.

Such infiltration could come from parliament, business world or other people inside the ministries or institutions, he explained. "Prevention, prevention, and prevention," he said repeatedly.

He also mentioned the corruption allegation on imported meat involving former Chairman of Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), Luthfi Hasan Ishaaq. SBY summoned the Minister of Agriculture Suswono on Wednesday.

"Yesterday, I invited Minister of Agriculture to discuss the current issues in agriculture sector. I'm obliged to ensure the ministers' regulations, managements and instructions run well. This is what I care the most," he said.
