REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The two-month-old grandson of Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Airlangga Satriadhi Yudhoyono, underwent a surgery in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) on Friday for digestive problems. Airlangga's illness was revealed by his father, Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono or known as Ibas, during press conference on his resignation on Thursday.
“I'm having a family problem because my son is being treated at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital and will undergo surgery for digestive problems tomorrow,” said Ibas on Thursday.
Airlangga, who is also the grandson of Coordinating Minister of Economy Hatta Rajasa, has once hospitalized in early January, not long after he was born in December 24. The Head of Presidential Doctor Team, Aris Wibudi, said he suffered digestive problems.
Minister Hatta Rajasa asked for public support for Airlangga on Thursday. "Please pray for my grandson, the son of Ibas and Aliya," he said.
