REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Media mogul Hary Tanoesoedibjo who recently left National Democratic Party officially joins People's Conciousness Party (Hanura Party), at the House of Representatives, on Sunday. He admitted, the chairman of Hanura, Geneeral (ret) Wiranto, was the main reason.

"Wiranto is a calm figure and I believe that he has got a good command. Here we have chemistry," Harry Tanoe said after his inauguration in Hanura Headquarter on Sunday.

He added that he believed Wiranto could form solidity within the party's cadres and prevent any friction. After his resignation from the previous party, some other parties explicitly expected Tanoe to join with them.

Tanoe said that he saw Hanura as corruption-free party. He hopes Hanura can maintain such condition. "Since 2009, I have been thinking about this. It will be a good change because Hanura doesn't join coalition party. It is consistent with its principal and ideology as opposition party," he said.

In the inauguration, Wiranto appointed Tanoe as the Head of Advisory Council of Hanura. "His participation will incinerate our adrenaline and boost our spirit to change," Wiranto said.

His new post allows Tanoe to give strategic advise to reach vision and mission and develop the party. With Tanoe as a member, Hanura expects to become big and concrete party.
