REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Jakarta Provincial Government will continue the building of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) on March. The Governor of Jakarta, Joko Widodo, or famous as Jokowi, plans to form a team involving public community to evaluate and study the building.

"The project continues. We have to start soon. Every administration must be completed this month so that we can start building MRT on March," Jokowi said on Wednesday.

By involving in the project, public community is expected to have sense of belonging towards public transportation. Meanwhile, the Head of Operation Planning of MRT, Rachmadi, said he had evaluated the building of MRT, mainly the models, which were flyover and subway. He said that the building of subway would be more complicated as they could shut Fatmawati Street for two years. "It will cause more traffic jam," he said.
