REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and his Hungarian counterpart President Janos Ader vowed to boost trade and seek cooperation particularly in economy at a meeting on Wednesday. SBY arrived in Budapest, Hungary, on Wednesday afternoon, after a working visit to Berlin, Germany.
During joint press conference, Ader called for closer cooperation between Hungary and Indonesia to boost mutual investments. He added that he and SBY discussed some measures to invite Indonesian businessmen to invest in Hungary.
SBY said his visit to Hungary was to boost cooperation on business and economy. "We also agree to encourage the private sectors to explore economic cooperation," he said, adding that they also talked on environment, education, energy and tourism issues. "I believe that we can do better for future," he added.
While SBY met Ader, the first lady Ani Yudhoyono, accompanied by Hungarian first lady Anita Herczegh, visited National Gallery Museum, Fisherman Bastion and St Mathias Church.
