REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KENDARI - Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI) said that minister of education and culture should be responsible for the postponed national exam in 11 provinces of central Indonesia. It was originally scheduled on April 15 2013, and pushed for next two days.
"Whatever the reason, the postpone shows portrait Minister of Education's failure," said Head of Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI) Konawe Zailin in Kendari on Monday.
It happened for the first time in Indonesia. It indicated that government were not responsible. Southeast Sulawesi province with 10 others experienced postponed because national exams' sheets were late. However, it designed by Ministry of Education and Culture through PT Ghalia Indonesia.
"Many assumptions follow it. Some related to politics, and unprofessionalism of tender winner," said Zailin. Earlier, Minister of Education and Culture M Nuh said that high school exams called 'Package C' in Southeast Sulawesi would be held on Wednesday.
Member of National Mandate Party (PAN), Sabaruddin, blamed the problem to the Minister of Education who too centralized in implementation of national exam. "Department of Education in each province successfully manages the national exam every year. Why the central government take it and break it?" he said. Zailin told the central government properly act as supervisor.
Number of students who follow the national exam consists of 23.375 senior high school students, 3.337 Islamic school students, and 5.676 vocational high school students.
