REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono appointed Coordinating Minister of Economy, Hatta Rajasa as acting minister of finance on Friday. The current Minister of Finance, Agus Martowardojo, will occupy his new position as governor of Bank Indonesia for 2013-2018.

Previously, other names appeared to fill the position as new finance minister such as Head of the Investment Coordination Board, Chatib Basri; Vice Minister of Finance, Mahendra Siregar; Director General of Tax, Fuad Rahmany; and current Governor of Bank Indonesia, Darmin Nasution. Nasution will end his term of office in May.
