REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian National Police and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) will boost cooperation to tackle cyber crime through Cyber Crime Investigation Satelit Office (CCISO). Deputy Commissioner General of Indonesian National Police, Nanan Sukarna said that both countries wanted to contain cyber crimes.
AFP Comissioner, Tony Negus said that transnational crimes, sometimes attributed to the same criminal networks. "Many terrorists have attacked cyber in the last 10 years," he said on Monday.
Indonesian National Police and AFP can trace many things, include drugs trafficking. The cooperation is worth nine million USD for infrastructure, training and capacity building.
Negus said that he and Chief of Indonesian Police General Timur Pradopo once went to cyber crime investigation at Police Headquarters. At least, 31 police regions across Indonesia have connected to Cyber Crime Investigation Cell (CCIC), which has received international accreditation as a telecommunications facility.
