REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Hatta Rajasa targetted to spend 50 percent allocation of state budget in half of 2013 to spur the economic growth. Rajasa said government should strengthen its efforts as the spending in the first quarter was only 10 percent.
"We must spend more in the second quarter by encouraging and accelerating more projects and tenders," Rajasa said on Wednesday.
Earlier, the Indonesian Statistic recorded the economic growth only 6.02 percent in the first quarter of the year, shown by lower achievements in economic indicators.
Economic growth is supported by 5.17 percent from household consumption and 0.42 percent of government consumption. The spending of state budget slower, from 17.8 percent in 2012 to 16 percent in the first quarter of the year.
