REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Government prepares budget of 3.7 trillion IDR for clean water in Jakarta and surrounding areas. The Ministry of Public Works appointed Perum Jasa Tirta II to be in charge for the project.
The project will use water from reservoir in West Java with capacity 21.5 cubic meters per second, increase from the current plan 16.5 cubic meters per second.
The first phase is the Water Processing Installation project in Bekasi, West Java, worth 1.6 trillion IDR, with an additional five cubic meters per second of the current state of 15.5 cubic meters per second. "The second phase is the addition of raw water supply of 5.5 cubic meters per second, worth 2.1 trillion IDR," Director of Perum Jasa Tirta, Herman Idrus, said on Friday.
The clean water project program is very urgent since water supply for Jakarta and surrounding areasis in critical phase. Perum Jasa Tirta will seek partner for the project.
