REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Parties in ruling coalition awaits Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's decision over the fate of its renegade member, Prosperous Jusrice Party (PKS). Earlier, PKS rejected government's policy to hike fuel price.

"The Joint Secretariat is still waiting the final decision from President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono towards PKS, either to keep PKS in coalition or sack it. We give the final decision to the president as Chairman," Secretary of the Joint Secretariat, Amir Syamsuddin said on Tuesday.

Syamsuddin who also member of the Board of Trustees at Democratic Party denied if his party was the key to determine PKS' fate. He said PKS' membership status in coalition was an authority of Yudhoyono as Chairman.

Amir was grateful that PKS's decision by rejecting the fuel price hike didn't affect government's plan to submit a new budget posture in 2013. The revision was already passed on Monday.
