REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA - A number of former generals from Indonesian military will join National Mandate Party (PAN) and becomes volunteers Hatta Rajasa for 2014 President. However, Chairman of PAN, Hatta Rajasa still tight lipped on their identities.
"There have been several generals who joined, including a former Chief of Staff of the Army," Rajasa said on Sunday.
"Hatta Rajasa for 2014 President" is a movement with the ultimate goal to drive Rajasa into the number one in this country. This movement will be founded in all regions and provinces in Indonesia. However, Rajasa said he would decide either to run in 2014 Presidential Election or not after legislative election on April 9, 2014.
If PAN win at least 10 percent in legislative election, then Rajasa will definitely run for president and the candidancy will be declared two weeks after that. He is optimistic his party will be able to reach 10 percent voters in upcoming election.
