REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - State owned airline, PT Garuda Indonesia adds 88 additional flights to anticipate an increase of passengers during homebound trips in Eid al-Fitr. Those flight will be operated on a number of domestic and international routes in seven days before and after Eid.
"Garuda Indonesia will operate wide body aircrafts, A330-300 with a capacity of 257 seats and A330-200 with a capacity of 222 seats in certain flight routes, such as from Jakarta to Denpasar (Bali)," Vice President Corporate Communication of Garuda Indonesia, Pujobroto said on Thursday.
All 88 extra flights will be carried on domestic routes from Jakarta to Yogyakarta, Padang and Denpasar, as well as on international routes from Jakarta to Singapore, Bangkok (Thailand), Hong Kong and South Korea, as well as vice versa from Japan (Narita, Haneda and Osaka) to Denpasar.
With addition of extra flights and operation of wide body aircraft on these routes, Garuda Indonesia will have available 1,146,144 seats, consist of 881,927 seats on domestic routes and 264,217 seats on international routes.
Garuda Indonesia asked passengers not to make changes of reservation in 24 hours before departure. The company also asked passengers to plan their trip as early as possible.
