REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDA ACEH - Government of Aceh will declare August 15 as Aceh Peace Day. Head of Public Relation in Aceh Secretariat, Nurdin F Jos said the declaration would be announced by governor of Aceh in Grand Mosque Baiturrahman in Banda Aceh.

"Establishment of Aceh peace refers to date of signing of peace agreement betwen government and Free Aceh Movement (GAM) in Helsinki, Finland on August 15, 2005," Jos said on Wednesday.

Regional Head of Ministry of Religious Affairs in Aceh, Ibnu Sa'dan, will lead the prayer in the event. The government of Aceh also has invited  Minister of Home Affairs Gamawan Fauzi to attend the ceremony.
