REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono ratified five bills until August 2013. They are bills on outerspace, forest coservation, farmer empowerment, geothermal, and medical education.
"Bill on medical education previously had been approved in Plenary Session of Parliament to be passed into law on July 11, 2013. It would meet Indonesia's needs for qualified and dignified doctors," Yudhoyono said last week on his Twitter's account.
Bill of Prevention and Eradication of Forest Degradation which has been approved by House of Representatives in Plenary Session on July 9, 2013 is expected to ensure legal certainty and firm legal action towards criminals of forest destruction.
Regarding to bill on farmer empowerment, he wrote in @SBYudhoyono, "The ratification is a basic strategy for Indonesian farmers' sovereignty and independency."
