Kernel Oil blacklisted in Indonesia

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Singapore based Kernel Oil Company is blacklisted by Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas). Secretary of SKK Migas Gde Pradnyana said Kernel Oil could not participate in bidding conducted by any governmental agency in Indonesia.

"Kernel Oil has been blacklisted and removed from any tender," Pradnyana said recently.

An official of Kernal Oil Company, Simon Gunawan Tanjaya admitted to pay 700 thousand USD to former Head of SKK Migas, Rudi Rubiandini through Rubiandini's golf trainer, a man named Deviardi. There has been no communication between SKK Migas and Kernel Oil until now. 

While Head of SKK Migas John Widjonarko admitted that Kernel Oil often participated in some tenders conducted by SKK Migas. "But the company has never won," Widjonarko said.
