REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDA ACEH - Ten illegal immigrants from Rohingya, Myanmar, escaped from temporary shelters of Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) Rumoh Seujahtera Beujroh Meukarya in Ladong, Aceh Besar.

They are part of 66 immigrants stranded in Aceh Jaya district in July. They escaped after they damaged the iron bar on Friday around 04.00 am.

"They were still there at 03.00 am. We think that they ran between 4.00 and 5.00 am and broke the bar then jumped," a security officer said recently.

The officer who asked not to be written his identity said all illegal immigrants had been scheduled to be transferred to Rudenim Tanjung Pinang and Manado in the end of September.
