REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Chairman of National Democratic (Nasdem) Party, Surya Paloh continues to build political communication with some political parties, especially Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP). Secretary of Nasdem, Patrice Rio Capella said if two parties already had common understanding and vision, then they would be solid in parliament and government.
"Mr. Paloh and Mrs. Megawati have very close relationship. If both parties build a coalition, they will have better understanding," Capella said in Tuesday.
Yet, Capella said his party did not discuss about presidential election next year as they focus first on legislative election which would be held before presidential election. A new party can submit their own candidates if receives at least 20 percent of national votes in legislative election.
Board of Advisor Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Jeffrie Geovanie said that PDIP had became very important political party in Indonesia, from now through 2014 election. Everyone pays attention on PDIP cadres, especially Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
